RED RIVER WINS RED DOT

The Red River from myVALE clearly convinced the judges: in the red dot design award, one of the most renowned international product competitions, handmade sandal has now been awarded the “red dot” seal of quality for high design quality by the jury with its panel of highly respected experts. More than 1,000 guests from the world of design, industry, society and media will celebrate the winners of the red dot design award on 4 July 2011, which traditionally takes place in Essen’s opera house, Aalto Theater. The Model Red River will then be put on public display during a four-week special exhibition in the red dot design museum.

The myVALE “Red River“ sandal is designed according to the individual footprint of the customer and uses only the most sophisticated hand-crafted material. The foot bed is coated with a layer of elegant and durable black kangaroo leather. The sandal also stylishly combines a black, shock absorbing midsole and a red, durable outer sole. The most eye-catching element of the myVALE sandal is the red Nanai salmon leather strap, which is lined with soft lambskin. The sandal’s toe bar is adjusted to the individual needs of the customer’s foot, guaranteeing optimal comfort. Orthopedic expertise ensures support of the foot’s motion and ideal shock absorption which help to protect the joints of the customer. The myVALE “Red River” sandal combines state of the art handcraft and a stylish design to become more than just a sandal.

“As always, our jury cast a very careful eye over the products submitted. Design quality has asserted itself clearly in the judging process, with genuine and new creative solutions also being rewarded. Both of these criteria are not just yardsticks for good design, but also for the potential for success on the market. This potential is increased several times over by the targeted use of our renowned design award”, says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, the initiator of the red dot design award. This year, designers and companies from 60 countries entered 4,433 products in the red dot award: product design.
